Our story
The Villij began with one simple but powerful moment—a conversation in the bathroom at work back in 2017. As best friends, we knew firsthand how hard it was to find wellness spaces that truly felt like home for women of colour. So, we created one.
What started as a pop-up yoga experience has since grown into a movement and wellness studio in Toronto’s East End, designed to transform the way women of colour nurture their well-being. Rooted in community care and meaningful connection, our space is here to support you at every stage of your fitness and self-care journey.
Whether you're stepping onto the mat for the first time or deepening your practice, The Villij welcomes you to move, breathe, and show up exactly as you are. With beginner-friendly yoga and Pilates, transformative wellness workshops, and a community that truly sees you—you’re not just taking a class. You’re finding a space where you belong.
